Weir

Terms of Service

Updated Nov 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Weir account or renting a machine through the Weir website or console (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

2. Early access

Weir is in early access. Features, GPU models, prices and top-up options may change, and access may be limited or paused while the service is being finished.

3. Description of service

Weir rents GPU machines. Each rental is a virtual machine with root SSH access and one or more GPUs, in the Asia-Pacific (East) region. An optional data disk can be attached and is mounted at /data.

You can book a rental by the hour, by the day or by the month. You can turn on auto-renew, and you can choose to keep a machine’s disks after the rental ends so you can start it again later.

4. Accounts and SSH keys

You are responsible for your account, its credentials and the SSH keys you add to it, and for everything done with them. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think your account has been misused.

5. Prepaid balance and billing

Rentals are paid from a prepaid account balance. The price of the compute and any data disk for the time you book is charged from your balance when the rental starts. Longer bookings may get a lower rate, which is shown before you pay.

Each price quote is valid for two minutes. The price charged is the quoted price.

If you release a machine before the booked time ends, unused whole hours of compute and data disk are refunded to your balance automatically, less a cancellation fee of up to 5% where one applies. An hour that has started counts as used.

If auto-renew is on, Weir charges your balance for the next period shortly before the current one ends. If your balance is too low, the rental is not renewed and ends as booked. You can turn auto-renew off at any time.

If you keep a machine’s disks after it ends, storage is charged from your balance by the hour until you start the machine again or delete the disks. Kept disks are deleted if your balance runs out, or after 85 days.

Your balance can only be used to pay for Weir services. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred to another account or exchanged for cash, except where the law requires otherwise.

Weir charges no fees other than those shown before you pay.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Services, or let anyone else use them, to:

• break the law, or store or share content that is illegal, including any content that sexually exploits children;

• attack, scan, probe or try to gain access to systems or networks you do not own or have permission to test, including denial-of-service attacks;

• send spam or phishing, or run malware, botnets or command-and-control servers;

• mine proof-of-work cryptocurrencies;

• infringe others’ intellectual property or privacy rights;

• make fraudulent payments or chargebacks, open multiple accounts to get around limits or a suspension, or resell access to the Services without our written permission;

• interfere with the Services, other users, or the machines and networks they run on.

We may investigate suspected misuse. If we believe an account breaks these rules, we may, without prior notice, refuse new rentals, suspend or close the account, release its machines and delete their disks, including kept disks. Where the law requires or allows it, we may report misuse to the relevant authorities. We will tell you by email what we did and why, unless we are not allowed to.

7. Your data

You keep all rights to the data and software you put on a machine.

Releasing a machine deletes it and its disks, unless you chose to keep the disks. You are responsible for copying out anything you want to keep, and for keeping your own backups.

8. Warranties and disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that a particular GPU model will be available or that a machine will run without interruption.

9. Limitation of liability

If a machine you paid for cannot be delivered or stops working because of a fault on our side, we will refund the unused time to your balance. This is your main remedy.

To the extent permitted by law, Weir is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or revenue. Weir’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the rental the claim relates to, or US$100 if that is more.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Services at any time. Machines you are renting keep running until their booked time ends unless you release them.

We may suspend or close an account as described in section 6. If we close an account for breaking these terms, any remaining balance may be kept to cover losses caused by the breach, as far as the law allows.

If we close an account without a breach on your part, or stop offering the Services, we will refund the remaining balance to the original payment method where we can.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If you have a dispute with Weir, please email us first so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the Services after a change, the updated terms apply.
